“We view quality as a team effort.”

“At CeoTronics, every employee contributes to the high level of quality that our customers rightly expect from us. Our aim is to be the very best when it comes to quality. That is why we were one of the first companies to be certified according to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard in January 2016.”

Successful quality management has helped CeoTronics become the first company in its branch of the communications industry to be certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and ATEX directive 94/9 EC. CeoTronics is a “registered NATO supplier” and is therefore recognized as an official supplier for NATO.

DIN ISO 9001:2015: CeoTronics is certified

In January 2016, CeoTronics reached the next level in quality management. As the world’s first and so far only company in its industry, CeoTronics was certified according to the new DIN ISO 9001:2015 standard. The new standard differs greatly from the old DIN ISO 9001:2008, is about 25% more comprehensive and represents seven years of progress in quality management compared to the DIN ISO 9001:2008 standard.

CeoTronics was first certified according to ISO 9001:1994 in December 2000 and was thus the first company in its industry at the time to have the certificate. To this day, CeoTronics has received all other certifications without objection. In January 2004, certification according to ISO 9001:2000 was granted, and in 2010 certification according to ISO 9001:2008 was granted.

ATEX directive 2014/34/EU: Successful repeat audit

In 2002, CeoTronics was successfully audited for the first time as a manufacturer in accordance with the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC. The certificate was renewed by TÜV Rheinland in early 2019. The requirements of the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU for the company's quality management system were all satisfied without any deviations. The audit was also completed in 2022 without any deviations.

ATEX certification applies to CeoTronics as a manufacturer of products used in potentially explosive areas such as in the chemical and petrochemical industries.

If a product is intended for use in potentially explosive areas, the manufacturer must ensure that all requirements of ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU are met. This includes all electrical and non-electrical equipment that may be a potential source of ignition.

PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425: Re-audit successfully completed

On 20/04/2019, the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 replaced the outdated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Directive 89/686/EEC to take into account current technologies and procedures for placing relevant products on the market.

The most important change for CeoTronics was the change of hearing protection products from category II to category III, which meant that due to the high risk of category III PPE, a notified body has to be involved for EU type examination (module B) and for quality assurance surveillance (module D).

CeoTronics was last audited on 07.03.2023 [(Module D)] and has repeatedly met the high requirements for the quality assurance system without any complaints and received a new certificate valid until 2028.
